    • 1 Cup Milk
    • 8 Overnight Soaked Almond
    • 5 Cashew Nuts
    • 1 tbsp Sugar
    • Pinch of cardamom Powder

    1. Take a ripe banana and peel and cut into small pieces.

    3. After that add 1 cup milk and 1 tbsp sugar in it.

    • Add jeera, curry leaves and onion in it. fry for 1 min.

    • When all the vegetables cooked completely then add spices, turmeric powder, red chili powder, black pepper powder, and garam masala.
    • Mix well now add steamed barley in it and mix all.
    • After that add salt according to your taste.

    You can call it PAKORA or PAKODA both are the same. This moong dal pakoda is cruncy outside and soft from inside.

    Mumbian’s called it moong dal vada. I am sharing a full step by step recipe below with my video.

    • 1 cup split moong dal
    • 2 tbsp Rice flor
    • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
    • 1 tbsp Sooji
    • 1 tsp salt

    • 1 tsp Coriander powder
    • 1 tsp Degi mirchi
    • 1 Green chili
    • 1 Onion

    Instructions
     

    Making Moong Dal Dough

    • wash and soak for split yellow moong dal for around 3 to 4 hours to get soft pakodas.
    • After 3 to 4 hours drain the water completely and add it to a blender jar and blend a smooth paste add 1 tbsp water if required.
    • Now add rice flor and poppy seeds to give a crunchy taste.
    • Now add sooji also and add all the spices.
    • Add chopped onion and green chili as per your taste.
    • Now mix all the ingredients well and check the salt if required add more.

    Making Moong dal pakoda

    • Heat oil in a deep pan on a medium flame.
    • Check the oil is hot enough to fry pakodas.
    • Take small portions of pakodas and dip into the hot oil. You can take it through a spoon as I have done in the video.
    • Now fry them until they turn golden brown on a medium flame.
    • Your moong dal pakoda is ready to serve hot.

    Step By Step Moong Dal Pakoda Recipe-

    Preparation of moong dal pakoda

    1. Wash and soak one cup split moong dal in a large bowl for about 3 to 4 hours to get soft pakods.

    2. After 3 to 4 hours drain water and add dal into the blender jar and blend a smooth paste.

    3. Now add 2 tbsp rice flor and 1 tbsp poppy seeds/khuskhus to give it a crunchy flavour.

    4. Now add all the spices, salt, black pepper powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, garam masala and 1 tbsp sooji.

    5. Mix all the spices and add 1 chopped onion and green chili to the paste.

    6. Mix all the ingredients and check salt if required add more. Now pakora dough is ready.

    How to Make Moong Dal Pakoda

    1. Heat oil in a deep thick pan on a medium flame.

    2. Check the oil is hot enough to fry moong dal pakoda.

    3. Now take small portions of batter and carefully dip into the hot oil and fry until it turns golden brown.

    4. Make sure you fry it on a medium flame not so high or not so low.

    5. When they turn golden and crisp remove them. Now your moong dal pakoda is ready to serve hot with tea or chutney.

    Important Note:

    1. Must Soak moong dal for at least 3 to 4 hours otherwise it’s hard to make soft pakoda.
    2. Do not fry it on a low flame it becomes hard.
    3. Do not fry it on a high flame it will remain raw from inside.
    4. Onion is optional if you don’t wat you can skip this step.

    Homemade Biryani Masala Powder Recipe

    Biryani is the most lovable dish among all and the biryani masala powder recipe is a secret ingredient behind that.

    This is the best aromatic biryani masala to give a great taste to biryani and pulao.

    Biryani masala is readily available in stores you can buy that also.

    But the aroma in homemade biryani powder masala is different.

    After making this masala recipe at home I have cooked pulao with using this masala and it comes outstanding.

    You can store this biryani masala powder in an airtight jar for a year. Keep away from humidity for its long life.

    This is the best and simple masala and every household has these all ingredients in their kitchen.

    Note:

    1. Use fresh spices for good results and flavor.
    2. Clean all the spices so that all stones and other things are removed from spices.
    3. You have to dry roast all the ingredients one by one on a low to medium flame but don’t over roast it.
    4. You can also dry in the sun to all the spices for 3 to 4 days, choose whatever you like.
    5. Let it cool completely then blend this masala very finely.
    6. Store it in a clean airtight jar in a dry place.
    7. You can use this masala to make biryani as well as pulao.
    8. Don’t use turmeric powder while making biryani because in my biryani powder I have already added 1 tbsp turmeric powder.

    Homemade biryani masala gives the perfect aroma and taste to your dish.

    Make sure you can always use a moister free spoon to get the required masala every time.

    And you can add this masala in a chicken recipe also.

    I have not used red dry chilis in it if you want you can add that too, to give it a more spicy flavor.

    You can dry these spices in the sun also to come out their moisture but I like to dry roast it as it is a very simple and fast process.

    • 2 tbsp Shahi Jeera/caraway seeds

    • 3 pcs Dalchini/cinnamon stick
    • 1 pc Jaifal/ Nutmeg
    • 1 tsp Long / Cloves
    • 2 pcs Badi elaichi/ Balck cardamom
    • 12 Elaichi / Green cardamom
    • 3 Star Anise
    • 1 tbsp Black pepper seeds
    • 1 tbsp Saunf/ Fennel seds
    • 1 tbsp Kashimi degi mirchi powder
    • 1 tsp Haldi/ turmeric powder
    • 3 Bay leafs

    Instructions
     

    • Heat a thick bottom pan on a medium flame and dry roast coriander seeds in it.
    • Then add shahi jeera, black pepper seeds, laung and fry for few seconds
    • Then add nutmeg, black cardamom, and green cardamom and fry till they turn aromatic.
    • Now add fennel seeds,dalchini, star anise, and javitri and roast for 4 to 5 minutes on a low flame till they turn aromatic.
    • After done switch off the flame and let it cool completely.
    • Put all ingredients in the jar with bayleaf and blend smooth powder.
    • After that add 1 tbsp turmeric powder and degi mirchi in it.
    • And store it in an airtight container.

    1. Don't use turmeric powder while making any dish with this biryani masala powder because I already have added 1 tbsp turmeric powder which is enough.
    2.  Do not over rost spices otherwise it will burn the aroma or these ingredients.

    1. Firstly in a thick bottom pan, you have dry roast coriander seeds for few seconds on a low to medium flame.
